Usability Consulting

How are we going to do it?

At Usability HQ, we take every step to ensure the usability of your product. Our eight step process (depending on your requirements) is outlined bellow.

  1. Discovery
We start by identifying goals, objectives, and requirements of your business and end-users.
  2. Observe
We talk to your end-users, get thier feedback and concerns with the current product, observe them using your product in their workplace (if possible), give them a set of tasks to do, and monitor their progress.
  3. Usability Analysis
We analyze the usability of the product, as well as your end-users' behavior and trends with the product.
  4. Iterative Design
Based on our product analysis, and feedback from your end-users, our experts will design simple low fidelity paper mockups (since they are easy to change and cost effective) and gather feedback from your end-users, before producing a working prototype.
  5. User Testing
Using the working prototype, we will give your end-users real tasks, and monitor their progress using state of the art screen capture and eye tracking software.
  6. User Interviews
We interview your end-users to get detailed feedback about the new design.
  7. User and Task Analysis
We analyze the results of the testing sessions, and user feedback.
  8. Report
We write a comprehensive report describing usability problems with the current product, your end-users' needs and feedback, prototypes, and research results.

Our Deliverables

We provide three key deliverables (depending on the service(s) requested):

  1. Usability report - A comprehensive report outlining usability pitfalls, instructions on how to fix them, recommended design prototypes, user behavior and trends analysis, and results of research and experimental evaluation.
  2. Video highlights - Video clips of users carrying out tasks during the experimental evaluation.
  3. Presentation - An oral presnetation highlighting important usability pitfalls, with an explanation on how these pitfalls hinder your end-users, and finally recommendation on how to fix these problems.
